BLOOD VESSEL OF THE WRIST AND HAND

The Blood Vessels of Wrist and Hand consist:

- Ulnar Artery and Vein
- Radial Artery and Vein
- Palmar Arch
- Palmar Venous Arch
- Digital Arteries and Vein

THE BLOOD VESSELS IN THIS PART OF YOUR BODY LIE VERY CLOSE TO THE SURFACE OF THE SKIN. YOU CAN SEE THEM ON THE BACK OF YOUR HAND AND ON THE INSIDE OF YOUR WRIST. SOMETIMES THEY BULGE IN THIS AREA WHEN YOU ARE HOT OR DURING EXERCISE,WHEN YOUR HEART IS PUMPING BLOOD RAPIDLY AROUND YOUR BODY.

BLOOD VESSELS OF THE LOWER ARM

Lower Arms Blood Vessel:

- Brachial Vein
- Brachial artery
- Ulnar Artery
- Ulnar Vein
- Chepalic Vein
- Radial Artery
- Radial Vein

THE LOWER ARM HAS A NETWORK OF BLOOD VESSELS RUNNING THROUGH IT.THIS IS BECAUSE THE MAIN ARTERY AND VEIN SUPPLYING THE ARM DEVIDE SEVERAL TIMES BEFORE REACHING THIS POINT.THE ARTERIES (RED COLOR) CARRY OXYGEN-RICH BLOOD AT HIGH PRESSURE FROM THE HEART TO THE REST OF THE BODY.THE VEIN (BLUE COLOR) RETURN BLOOD FULL OF WASTE PRODUCTS AT LOW PRESSURE FROM THE BODY TISSUES BACK TO THE HEART.

BLOOD VESSELS OF THE LOWER ABDOMEN

Blood vessels of the lower abdomen:

- Blood vessels of the Small Intestine
- Aorta
- Inferior Vena Cava
- Common iliac Vein
- Blood vessels of the Large Intestine
- Common iliac Arteries

THESE ARTERIES AND VEINS TRANSPORT BLOOD TO AND FROM THE LARGE AND SMALL INTESTINE. AT THE BASE OF THE ABDOMEN, THE MAJOR VEIN AND ARTERY DEVIDE IN ORDER TO SUPPLY EACH OF YOUR LEGS.

BLOOD VESSELS OF THE UPPER ARM

The Upper Arm blood vessels are:

- Axillary Vein
- Axillary Artery
- Cephalic Vein
- Brachial Vein
- Basilic Vein
- Brachial Artery

THESE BLOOD VESSELS CARRY BLOOD TO AND FROM THE UPPER ARM. THE ARTERIES (RED COLOR) SUPPLY THIS REGION WITH OXYGEN AND ESSENTIAL NUTRIENTS, WHILE THE VEINS (BLUE COLOR) REMOVE WASTE PRODUCTS, SUCH AS CARBON DIOXIDE. THE MAIN BLOOD VESSELS ENTERING THE ARM ARE CALLED THE AXILLARY VESSELS. THESE DIVIDE INTO BRACHES THAT SUPPLY ALL YOUR ARM'S CELLS.

BLOOD VESSELS OF THE CHEST

THE CONTINUOUSLY PUMPING HEART SENDS BLOOD THROUGH ALL THE VESSELS IN YOUR BODY. IT BRINGS LIFE-GIVING OXYGEN AND NUTRIENS TO THE CELLS AND CARRIES AWAY CARBON DIOXIDE AND OTHER WASTE PRODUTS.

BLOOD VESSELS OF YOUR HEAD AND NECK

THE BLOOD SUPPLY TO THE HEAD BRINGS LIFE-SUSTAINING OXYGEN TO YOUR BRAIN (THE CONTROL CENTRE OF YOUR BODY). OXYGEN-RICH BLOOD IS PUMPED THROUGH ARTERIES THAT TRAVEL UPWARDS ON EACH SIDE OF YOUR NECK. IF YOU PRESS GENTLY IN THIS AREA YOU WILL BE ABLE TO FEEL THE PULSE, WHIS IS, IN FACT , THE BLOOD BEING PUMPED THROUGH THE BLOOD VESSELS.
